Who is the Desire of you Heart?

Please don’t watch if you want to see the show in person, this is the full show of Happily Ever After.

I would like you to watch the above video, its the new Happily Ever After show from Walt Disney World. Start the show, let it play until about 2:20, then fast forward to 12:00 and watch till the end.

First, this show is awesome. I can’t wait to see it in person. The beginning starts off saying, “each of us has a dream, a heart’s desire. It calls to us and when we are brave enough to listen and bold enough to pursue. That dream will lead us on a journey to discover who we are meant to be. All we have to do is look inside our hearts and unlock the magic within.” I want to talk about a person’s desire in their heart. If you are a Christian, Jesus should be the desire of heart. I am not saying that you can’t desire other things, I am just saying that Jesus needs to be the center of your heart’s desire. We should desire Jesus more than gold or anything else in this world.

When Jesus calls us to do something, are we brave enough to listen to Him and are we bold enough to pursue Him? You know, when we as Christians don’t follow Jesus will and plan for our life, we have to suffer. I was listening to a message by Dr. Stanley and he used this example, he said Jesus wants us to walk from one corner to the opposite corner in a straight line. But if we are not careful we will get to the other corner but if we don’t keep our eyes on Jesus we will not walk on the path Jesus wants us to walk. Has Jesus asked you do something for Him with your life? Be brave enough to listen to Him and bold enough to pursue His plan for your life. Remember, if we pursue our own plan instead of Jesus’ we won’t be content with our life. We may even be miserable. Let Jesus guide you on His journey for your life. On that journey Jesus will show you who you are meant to be.

At the end, the narration says, “grab hold of your dreams, and make them come true. For you are the key to unlocking your own magic. Now go, let your dreams guide you, reach out and find your happily ever after.” Has Jesus asked you to do something you really want to do? If so, grab hold of that dream and pursue it and make it come true. Only you can do it with Jesus’ help. The way may be slow and you may be scared, but remember Jesus will be with you all the way. Jesus has a part to play to accomplish His plan in your life, but you have a part to play too. Remember you are the key to unlocking your destiny, but Jesus is the keyhole to your destiny. Without Christ, we are nothing. If you are pursing what Jesus wants to accomplish in your life but don’t include Jesus in the plan, the plan will not work.
